my son who is three has pneumonia and i was wondering if he can get it from second hand smoking which his father is a smoker.. i can’t under stand how he got this because he does not go to day care or never around other children just very confused please advise me on what i can do to make him feel better thank you..

Second hand smoke is toxic to lungs. Your child is more at risk for asthma and lung infections by being exposed to his father’s smoking. I am an ER nurse and see the results of this frequently.

@kbjaques you are absolutely correct. I am a Respiratory Therapist and I also work in the ER and I see this all the time. It just pisses me off to get the baby/child better then have him/her come back with the same symptoms all because one or both parents smoke…sad.
