Depressive Episode Coming On ? Here’s How To Fight Depressive episode refers to a period of time in which an individual experiences persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and a lack of interest or pleasure in activities that they once enjoyed. During a depressive episode, a person may also experience changes in their appetite, sleep patterns, […]
I Ditched Depression And So Can You I ditched depression after after heartbreak. I ditched depression after, I lost my job as a result of refusing to take the vaccine and I can attest to the fact that, losing ones’ job feels like the world has been turned upside down. When all my monies were […]
when you say escape the highs what exactly do you mean? Can you give an example please
@TheSJkid Lets say you’re getting really excited about something & you remember me saying don’t let yourself get so caught up in the highs. Then, you start calming yourself down which automatically lessens the next low you’ll experience. It’s about learning to be even-keeled. Does that make sense?
OK, you make it sound so easy to get over depression. I have had twice depression in my life. And now looking behind it looks silly that even had those. But when i was experiencing depression i was not loser, i was not whiny, i was not self centered. I was just madly depressed. Depression has made me humble, I will not joke about it. I’m matter of fact scared about it since I know it’s force. True depression is no joke, who has had it, knows it.
@riling It’s simple to understand, the plan for conquering it is simple, but the hard part is enduring depression. If you can’t laugh at it, then you’re still fighting it. When I laugh at something, it means it no longer has a hold over me. I know it’s cause & it’s cure. I’ve revealed what the unconscious is saying so you can see it too. I’ve been to death door with depression. I know it’s power. Don’t take what I say personal, because you’ll miss the message.
@riling This is going to hurt & is meant to help you see yourself. Your comment is even whiny & negative in nature. It is a comment that I would expect from a depressed person. I tell you this as a friend. You need to work on your positive training & thinking less about yourself. Again, this is tough love that just might save your ass, so don’t take it person which is being self-centered. To free yourself, you must see yourself.
@BillyDKY i guess i kind of see what your saying. that is if what you mean is to not set yourself up for dissapointment. If thats what your trying to say.
just to clairify being really happy always goes hand in hand with depression? can one be really happy at certain times and revert to moderate mood?
@TheSJkid Lets look at it from another angle. Its a lot like the stock market. It has an underlying growth pattern to it. However, people get too emotional about money so they go too high at times, then too low at others. However, if people could get their emotions out of their decisions, they would have a smoother progression upward without all the emotional turmoil. Does that make it clearer? This is just one angle to work on depression.
@BillyDKY Yeah, you are right. I’m not yet there that I can joke about it… perhaps some day.
@riling Since you came back, I believe you will make it. If you did not come back, I would not be so sure. By coming back, you have shown that you understand Principle 7 – Know Your Enemies: Ego & Pleasure; more specially ego. As long as you honestly apply those nine principles to the best of your ability, you will continually get freer & freer until you are free. It is no quick pill, but it does work in the long run & fear of depression will be gone. Good luck & keep with it!
I’m not one to follow in any one belief system. I take some ideas from the tenets of Buddhism and common sense, but that’s about it. I do like the fact that you break down some of these issues with some of those similiar ideas.
@briancobes Yeah, I understand exactly where you are coming from. You think for yourself which is exactly what you’re suppose to do. Here is basically how it goes. All of life can be boiled down to one word, growth. From growth there are nine common sense principles that can help you grow optimally. From there you think for yourself. You should check out the blog on Following the Way of Growth. I think it’s right up your alley. The link is in my channel or this video.
