I Ditched Depression And So Can You I ditched depression after after heartbreak. I ditched depression after, I lost my job as a result of refusing to take the vaccine and I can attest to the fact that, losing ones’ job feels like the world has been turned upside down. When all my monies were […]
You have some good points. Sounds like you going in a good direction. I think the key is catching the subconscious thoughts that are neagative to a deppresed person they come so fast they come so fast they re in and inplanted before you can fully acknowledge them. I know you need purpose in live to be happy and not deppresed Albert Ellis had a fraily good stagedy but it takes alot of effert to do and in my personally challenge of deppresion it is on going procedure the practicing of catching it
What if a person never could decide what their purpose was? I can think of things I like to do, but I never really had a purpose. Because of the way I was raised & because of necessity, my focus in life was finding a good man and raising a family with him. But now (although nothing’s perfect) I have that. But I still don’t feel happy.
I think finding a person to spend your life with and raising a family is just part of life. Being a parent can and will give your life some purpose but it will not always make your life complete. Many times we try to accomplish the goals and ideologies of others and misplace or forget about our own goals and dreams. When this happens we find our life unfulfilling and empty. I believe that you need to rediscover your own dreams and goals and pursue them. Do something for yourself.
My life has so many twists and turns. Right now, I just go for walks, and when I feel the tears coming, I start fake laughing- so that even if people think I’m crazy, they won’t see me cry. Everyone has a story. My God, what a story I have to tell.
So what’s stopping you from writting a new chapter in your life? One filled with happiness, joy, accomplishment, and passion. I believe that we control our destiny and future and that it all begins with making a decision. The decision to not let what has happened to us, control us. It not what happens to us in this world that matters, it’s what we do about it that counts. Don’t allow negative language of thought to control and shape your world. Take back control I know you can.
Well done. Makes lots of sense.
What would you tell somone who has gone through a lot of traumatic experiences which has ruined his life? What would you tell somone who’s dooomed to live in poverty and can afford to fulfill his basic needs?
I believe that history does not dictate destiny. The past can only control you if you live within it. Life is all about choices and where you go from here is based on the decisions you make from here on out The easiest thing to do is nothing. The question is how hard are you willing to work and what price are you willing to pay to improve the quality of your life? I dont believe that any situation is ever permanent, but I do believe that people make it that way through inaction.
I have Jesus Christ as My Lord and savior. how can I work with that in dealing with depression?
Oh yeah? Well, what about tramatic experiences which have ruined your life and which are still ongoing and don’t seem to have an end? Then what? Wouldn’t that be considered a “rational” depression?
